Machine Builder (Fitter / Engineer)
July 2011Production Machinery Limited (PML) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Located on Allens Road in East Tamaki, PML designs, manufactures and builds production lines, not only for Fisher & Paykel's own appliance production, but also for other companies and industries around the world. As part of PML, you will see creative ideas evolve from concept to reality.
This role is a full time position based in Auckland working Monday to Friday with occasional overtime requirements. It involves building the machinery from first assembly to final commissioning.
MACHINE BUILDER prerequisites include:
- Excellent practical fitting and engineering trade skills.
- Strong background in production machinery or machine building
- Ability to accurately assemble and commission machinery.
- A good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics control.
- Good Machining skills.
- Self-motivated, precise, and methodical.
- Problem solving ability
- A passion for machinery and attention to detail
- A Team player
- Trade certificate or NZCE (or equivalent mechanical qualification)
- Able to travel locally and overseas to install machinery for short periods of time.
