Mechanical Design Engineer
July 2011Production Machinery Limited (PML) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Located on Allens Road in East Tamaki, PML designs, manufactures and builds production line equipment, not only for Fisher & Paykel's own appliance production, but also for other companies and industries around the world. As part of PML, you will see creative ideas evolve from concept to reality.
This role is a full time position based in Auckland working Monday to Friday with occasional overtime requirements. It involves designing the equipment from design concept through to detailing and offering continued support at the final commissioning phase.
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER prerequisites include:
- Significant experience in designing special purpose machinery or similar equipment
- A wealth of 3D CAD design experience (Solidworks would be advantageous)
- An innovative thinking style balanced by practical and commercial experience
- A tertiary and/or technician level qualification
