Machining

With a history of more than 30 years PML has grown and invested in its in-house manufacturing facility.

The team is supported by modern in-house CAD / CAM facilities, project management and purchasing teams, renowned for their quality and service.

PML can handle complex multi-faced items, fabrications, castings and forgings, single parts to batch runs, as well as the simplest of items.

Manufacturing includes exposure to most modern materials - steel (including cast and hardened), stainless steel (including precipitation hardening grades), aluminium, titanium, copper and bronze (including AMPCO grades) and plastic.

PML's extensive facilities include:

8 x CNC machining centres	• Machining envelopes up to 5m x 3m x 2.4m and; • 33 tonne table weight • 4th axis and 5 face machining
2 x CNC lathes	• Up to diameter 500 x 1200 • Including ultra-high precision
1 x multi-task machine (turning and milling combined)	• Up to diameter 710 x 1550 • High precision milling and turning
1 x wire cutter	• Cut size up to 0.8m x 0.6m x 0.4m • 2 tonne table weight
1 x spark eroder
2 x gantry cranes	• 10 tonne capacity each
Manual machinery.	• 5 x universal milling machines • 5 x turret milling machines • 5 x surface grinders • 1 x cylindrical grinder • 1 x bed mill (6m x 1.5m x 1.2m) equipped for deep hole drilling • Drills, saws and hand tools.
